script

THE SCRIPT

40,000 tickets sold for Aviva Stadium!

Straight in at Number 1 on the Second album, well we hope you don't mind if we did say We Told You So!

We have also had the bizarre phenomenom of The Script selling out the O2, with Ryan Sheridan supporting, and they're playing Oxygen alongside Royseven and Fight Like Apes!!

Seriously, you heard it all here first!...(providing you were in The Sugar Club, Kennedys, Eamon Dorans.....?)

First Garage Gig date June 2006, The Script shocked us with powerful no frills performances. No backing tracks, no messing, just great songs with great performances. Watched with interest as debate took place re The Choice Awards particularly in 2009. Our opinion is that if Ireland is going to export great pop music again, well at least now we have a credible export.

fight like apes

Fight Like Apes

First Garage Gig 31st March 2007 in Kennedys on Westland Row, Fight Like Apes provided an astounding performance to a 'no pressure' audience including almost all of Sony UK A&R.

ham sandwich

HAM SANDWICH

First Garage Gig appearance mid 2005, with a highlighting performance in Sept 2007 on the 'Live In Your Living Room Series'.

Ham Sandwich lent their experience to the launch of the IYMAs in November 2008 at the RDS.

Brand new album out 01/10/10

yfo

YFO

Formerly known as the Polo Bandits, a few line-up changes, and hey presto, 'Blueprint' appear. We have witnessed many metamorphises(?) at The Garage Gigs over the last 8 years, and it's always interesting. Blueprint came from the very beginning with us, and now, having transformed into one of the most unusual and interesting acts on our current roster, they are happy to be YFO (and we don't have a clue what it stands for).

Jerome's Law

Jerome's Law

2010 is a massive year for Jerome's Law, with album production commencing early spring. This band have the tunes that people will be playing, to much annoyance, up and down the length and breadth of Grafton Street. Jerome's Law, however, will not be asked to move along by the Garda.

LWAP

The Louis Walsh Assassination Project, they look mean.

Apparently their dad put them up to it (the name).

PARANOID VISIONS

Regular visitors to Garageland, legendary punk outfit Paranoid Visions are actually a huge inspiration to a large number of bands and musicians. Steering away from corporate capitalism, and instead using their music to speak for them, Paranoid Visions credibility is a rock.

Royseven

ROYSEVEN

Up until an amazing appearance at the IYMAs 2011 on May 15th at Liberty Hall.....

Most noteable Garage Gig appearance in July 2007, as part of the 'Live In Your Living Room' Series in The Sugar Club(although the guys First appearance might have been considerably earlier than that!). It's fair to say, Royseven wrecked the place.

New album is quite frankly amazing!..and what a nice bunch of blokes!

MYP et Jeep

Duballstars

The Dub All Stars

Garageland, for Youth Work Ireland), The Dub Allstars

Launched the 'Pesky Kids' Album at HMV Grafton Street

on 17th Oct 2009, while 10 other launches happened simultaneously

around Ireland. This had never been done before, and is yet

another 'first' for Garageland.

The Album charted at number 13 in the Irish Compilation Album Charts.

Orphan Code

ORPHAN CODE

First Garage Gig Back in 2007, when band members had just returned from The USA. Orphan Code write brilliant tunes, and will be with us for a very long time.

Dali

DALI

27 Years is easily one of the best songs ever written by an Irish Band. Seriously.
